You can create Deep Infrared images with your existing, unconverted camera. Deep infrared images are shot with an 750 nm or greater filter, typically greater than 800 nm. This video covers the equipment you’ll need, settings for shooting, and editing in Photoshop and Camera Raw. Shooting deep infrared with an unconverted camera is ideal for those seeking very long exposures in broad daylight.

Here are my recommended Deep Infrared Filters

  • B+W 093
  • Hoya RM90
  • Life Pixel Deep BW IR
  • Kolari Vision Deep Black and White

You may also find the Infrared Profile Pack and Photoshop Actions helpful for editing deep infrared images.
