Infrared Profile Pack
The free Infrared Profile Pack contains custom DNG camera profiles (dcp) for 428 camera models. These are used to set a white balance for infrared images with Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and other supported raw editors. They are designed to work on images shot with color infrared high-pass filters from 515 to 750 nm, including popular 590 and 720 nm filters.
Infrared light has a color temperature of around 900 Kelvins. Lightroom and Photoshop natively support a White Balance Temp range of only 2,000 to 50,000 Kelvins. This range does not provide the color temperature values required for color infrared digital photography. When using the default Adobe Raw profiles, you may find that your Temp values reach one end of the scale or the other without getting to the desired white balance.
The profiles in this pack are used to shift the color temperature of your infrared image. While the labels in Lightroom and Camera will continue to display as 2,000 to 50,000, the actual temperature values supported will be lower. This allows you to select a desired color temperature value within the range of the slider. It’s as if we shifted the slider to support values from 0 to 25,000. Two profiles are included for each camera; Infrared Temp -50
and Infrared Temp -100
. Different combinations of cameras and infrared high-pass filters may react differently to temperature shifts. This is why two profiles are included.

- Adobe Lightroom Classic
- Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw
- Adobe Photoshop Elements
- DxO PhotoLab
- Exposure X6

Adobe Instructions
Adobe Installation
- Verify that your camera is on the list of Supported Cameras. If not, follow the instructions to Add a Camera.
- Download the free Infrared Profile Pack.
- Extract the files for your camera from the zip file.
- Copy the files to the following location. The locations are different for macOS and Windows.
macOS
Use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + G to display the Go to the folder dialog, then paste the following path.
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/
Windows
Paste the following path into Windows Explorer:
C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\
Adobe Usage
- Close and restart Lightroom or Photoshop. New profiles are only detected when these programs are started.
- Open your raw or DNG infrared image in Lightroom or Photoshop.
- In the Profile Browser, find the group named
Profiles
. - Select one of the color profiles,
Infrared Temp -50
orInfrared Temp -100
. - Select a neutral (white or gray) subject in your image using the White Balance color picker.
- If the color temperature value falls between 2,000 and 50,000, you should have a suitable white balance.
- If the color temperature is exactly 2,000 or 50,000, switch to the other profile and repeat these steps.
Help: If you do not see these profiles for your camera, ensure that you have copied the correct profiles for your camera to the correct location. Restart Lightroom or Photoshop. The article Where are my profiles? can help troubleshoot.
DxO PhotoLab Instructions

- In the Type field, select
DCP Profile
. - In the Rendering field, select
Import DCP profile...
. - Select the DCP file to import.
Usage
- Open the RAW White Balance module.
- Select the Pick color tool. Then point to a neutral (white or gray) subject in your image.
Add a Camera
Be sure that you camera is not in the Unsupported list. If your camera does not appear above, I can create profiles with an image from your camera. Please follow these requirements.
- Send raw or DNG files only. I cannot create profiles from JPEG images.
- Send images shot with an unconverted camera taken using a 720 nm lens filter OR a converted camera using a 470 to 720 nm filter.
- Do not send DCP files. I prefer using the raw/dng file to test the profiles.
- I will only use your raw/dng file to create the profile. I will not share it.
Supported Cameras
If your camera does not appear on this list, see the instructions below to Add a Camera. Thanks to everyone who has provided the raw files used to create these profiles. I’ve included your name next to the camera profile you helped create.
Warning: The ultra-wide camera on iPhone 12 and higher does not support custom profiles. See Unsupported. Profiles are only available for iPhone telephoto and wide cameras.

Unsupported Cameras
The Adobe DNG Profile Editor cannot read DNG files or create profiles for the following cameras. It only supports dual-illuminant DNG files. Dual-illuminant profiles contain two color profiles, one for tungsten color temperature and one for daylight color temperature. The temperature slider in Lightroom and Camera Raw will calculate colors between these two profiles to set a matching color temperature. DNG files that are single-illuminant or contain only an embedded base profile cannot be used to create a temperature-shifted profile in the DNG Profile Editor.
For these cameras, I recommend setting a custom white balance in-camera. Edit images with darktable, RawTherapee, or ON1. For Sigma cameras, try Sigma Photo Pro. Alternatively, you can white balance via curves.
